We are new to the Poppy's place series but we really like it. This arrived in the post on a day my daughter needed some cheering up so she was really happy when she saw it (especially that she loves cats and she said the cover is so adorable!). The story itself is sweet and full of action. Cat Cafe requires lots of work (after the 'flood'), love (so many cute cats to cuddle) and attention (lots of animal's owners pop over) what causes that the whole Isla's family works together and is really closed to each other. They all have different skills and that makes this place so special and liked by everyone.

My daughter really loves the part when Isla decides to organise a special adoption day party where some of the cats and people who look for a pet could meet and get to know each other.

I think the story is really sweet and will be a great read for all animal lovers. The book is engaging and you can't get bored with Isla's ideas.
My daughter thoroughly enjoys it and looks forward to reading more of Isla’s adventures in the future.

Valentine’s Day is coming, but rather than get excited about the school disco, Isla has a whole other matchmaking scheme in mind – finding homeless cats their perfect partners and forever homes in the Great Cat-acular! Her friends might be busy worrying about clothes and boys, but Isla’s on a mission, because if she can’t find new homes for the cats at the café, she can’t take any more in – and that would be a disaster.

Well, so she thinks, until the house floods and all Isla’s hopes and dreams look set to crash down around her. Will the Great Cat-acular have to be cancelled? Is it the end for Poppy’s Place? Are all of the cats okay? You’ll have to read it to find out.

Every bit as fun as the first two books, this latest Poppy’s Place adventure focuses on how tiring running the place is and how rehoming cats isn’t perhaps as easy as Isla first hoped. There are also a few hints of boys on the horizon, and while Isla still loves cats more than anything, she is growing up too. The cats themselves didn’t feature as strongly this time around as in other books, but I still enjoyed reading about Isla’s family and friends and the rush of trying to organise the Great Cat-acular when at times it seems as if everything is determined to go wrong.

Cute and fun, with lovely illustrations throughout, this series is perfect for young animal lovers. I can’t wait to see where Isla’s plans and ideas take the whole family next

I really enjoyed the book, I am not allowed cats as my cousin is severely allergic so we don't have one. I am like poppy and can relate to her. Some nice drawings in the book to look at and would love to read more of poppys adventures.

I was very excited to read this book as we have two cats in our family.  The front cover looked good, it has shiny raindrops on it. Isla has a cat cafe, which sounds weird but is a very good idea. Her cat called Poppy is lovely. The cat cafe is a good thing as they look after unwanted cats, and find them new homes.  I like that idea.
I am in year 3 and I can read this book to myself. It had a few tricky words, but Mummy helped me with them.  I liked the drawings in the book.  The story was good to read, and I want to read more in the series.  I would recommend it to girls who are 7-10 years old.

Mummy says-This is a lovely little book, just right for making the jump to books with far more writing and dotted with a few drawings here and there. There were a few challenging words too, which has pushed my daughter on with her reading abilities.  The storyline is perfect for any cat loving 7-10 year old girl.  I can see my daughter wanting to read more of these books.

This is the second book of Poppy's Place that I have read. Very easy to read with a great plot. All about the love of cats and how Isla helps homeless cats get adopted but with lots of trouble along the way.
Great characters and I can wait to read the next one.

I'm really glad I got to review this book. I love cats and really enjoyed reading this. The characters are great. I really liked Isla, she is very caring and works hard to try and rehome the cats. In this book they have a big flood I really enjoyed reading how they overcame this. I would love to read more in the series.

I've not read any of the books in this series before so was great to read something new. Great colourful front cover, very fitting for the story too.
I loved how everyone pulled together, nice when everyone can help in a time of need especially after such a big incident (the flood)
I'll be certain to keep my eye out for more of the books in this series in the future as I found it fun and easy to read.
