This was the first time my daughter had tried a spot the difference book but she got the hang of it pretty quickly and has enjoyed the book again and again. Its a lovely colourful and sturdy book and would be a great present for a young child.

Both children have really enjoyed this book; my oldest (4) has had it a couple of years and my youngest now gets a lot of use out of it (3).
It’s bold and colourful and stimulates their attention. The board book format has meant it’s held up well against a fair bit of abuse!
Both of them like the photographic nature of the pictures and the creativity of some of the differences keeps them very entertained!
I like the mix of facts and questions which can be used to encourage discussion and engage their learning. It’s a fantastic interactive book and great for using with both of them together. They will often take it out and use it together, independent of me.
A definite must for the book shelf.

This book arrived today and my 4 year old immediately sat down to look at it. He loved spotting the differences especially when they were silly things that shouldn't have been in the picture. There were enough things to keep him busy and interested. The board book nature of it also makes it baby brother proof!! I'm sure we'll be getting this book out again and again.

We was really impressed with this book, being a boardbook it was really sturdy and well made. The contents of the book has really been thought out well with lots to look at and spot on each page. The  colours and pictures on the pages really stand out and are relatable. Its a great development book for children so much so that i would be keen to purchase the other book available in the range on animals.

Both my boys got easily engaged in this book and enjoy sitting down and flipping through it. They've returned to it several times and it is a book they can sit and look at by themselves.
The book is in bright colours and is if sturdy construction.

It's a lovely sturdy book, with bright, colourful pictures. My son enjoys looking at the book however I do think 3 years is a little young to be getting the best out of the book. My son can spot some of the differences but soon gives up! It is a lovely book though and has been put on one side for another 12 months or so, which I'm sure by then it will become a firm favourite

My 4 yr old loved this. The spot the odd one out was brilliant for him. The spot the difference took some explaining before he got the idea of comparing the pictures but he talked a lot about things he found in the book and was engaged for a long time.

Ethan and I really enjoyed looking through this book.  There are simple questions for younger children and more difficult spot the difference bits for older children.  Only problem is that Ethan worked out that the answers are in the back of the book.

I enjoyed reading this book with small groups of children in my nursery class.  The pictures are really bright and appealing, and i like the way that each page is composed of a mix of illustrations and photographs. It really makes it stand out from other picture books. It also means that there are lots of fun little details to spot, such as teddies waving from cars, kittens hiding in the buckets of diggers and a pizza as the wheel of a bike!

The children I read this with really enjoyed spotting the differences on the pages with two pictures to compare, or finding the odd ones out on the pages where there were lines of similar objects.  There are a nice mix of easier activities (eg. count 4 red cars) and trickier tasks which involve spotting more subtle differences. There is a helpful answer section at the back of the book! However, my favourite thing about the book was the bonus open questions on some pages, which invite the children to think more deeply about the pictures without leading them to the answer!  We had great fun with some of these.

I am not sure that I quite agree with the age range of the book. It is recommended for ages 3 - 5, but I think that the photographic nature of some of the pictures might not engage very young children, and some of the activities would be too easy for older kids.  This is a sturdy board book, which is great for classroom use, but might also seem too babyish for some of the older children at which it's aimed.

Leo didn't have too much difficulty spotting the differences in this book, however he has spent a long time scrutinising the details in all of the pictures. He really enjoyed the funny features like the spotty ladybird car, the watermelon motorcycle and the teddy bear in a raincoat; as well as other activities like counting the squirrels. He has carried the book around with him and barely put it down since it arrived so it's great that as a sturdy board book it seems up to being read over and over again.

A lovely bright, well laid out book - and my 5 year olf really enjoys spotting the difference -therefore he was keen to get straight into it. He enjoyed the book, but he completed each page very quickly and found it too easy - so I'd say he was possibly just on the edge of being a bit old for it and could have benefited from a bit more complexity. That said, I think it's an excellent book for 4 and below.

Great for little ones, plenty of differences to keep kids entertained.
