Nine-year-old Tim finds himself forced, by his dad, to go on an adventure holiday. Tim hates adventures! And even worse he has to leave his beloved Walter Bear behind. A fast-paced book that will be enjoyed by girls and boys alike; you'll be swept of on an amusing adventure with Tim and The Tigers (his team). Can the shy boy, who is hopeless at sport, finally find his inner tiger? And will his team be a roaring success in the end?

Also in this series: Buried Alive

A great read for boys and girls in years 3/4

I bought this to read to my son as we were looking to move from picture books to chapter books. This was ideal. It wasn't too long, it interested him and had likeable characters as the main characters. Bits would have gone over his head, but he asked for the next in the series -a good sign!

I like this book because the main characters are girls and boys. I liked that Tim was afraid anything sporty or anything at all dangerous, Biscuits was a laugh and Kelly was super adventurous. I loved that Tim was afraid of heights but then he had to climb a cliff! I like that this is based in a summer adventure camp which is Tims worst nightmare and Kelly's dream. I liked that Tim had a fear of water. Tim was very brave to save Kelly's troll and I also liked that that Biscuits was weighting down the canoe and they almost SANK! I would definitely recommend this book to all people who like a good adventure
 (and hilarious stuff)

I enjoyed this book. Tim goes on an adventure holiday. Tim is quite a normal boy, but is scared about a lot of things. He has to go abseiling (looked scary) and canoeing. Cliffhanger is a story about friendship and teamwork. Tim learns in the end that he can be brave and confident and he can do things, even when he is scared. I thought it was funny, especially the part when Tim says 'This isn't my idea of fun' and then Biscuits, one of his new friends, says 'You can say that again', so he does and then they keep saying the same thing over and over.
