Shy, mild Mandy has been bullied at school for as long as she can remember. That's why she is delighted when cheeky, daring, full-of-fun Tanya picks her as a friend.

Mum isn't happy - she thinks Tanya's a BAD GIRL and a bad influence on her daughter. But Mandy loves spending time with her brilliant new friend, and is sure Tanya can only get her out of trouble, not into it . . . or could she?

At the start of the book I felt really sorry for mandy and I hated the bullies escpecially melanie. I did not think Mandy should have lied about her parents. I was really happy that mandy made friends with tanya

I really enjoyed this book because Mandy seems very nice. In the book Mandy is a girl who always gets picked on at school. But then she meets Tanya. Mandy is so happy that Tanya has picked her for a friend. Tanya and Mandy go out together in the mall and that is where the adventure really begins. I would definitely recommend this book to fans of Jacqueline wilson.

I love this book. I feel very sorry for Mandy because she gets bullied at school by Kim and Melanie and Sarah. I think that Kim is the worst one of all. I don't think Mandy should have lied to them, saying that she was adopted. She makes friends with Tanya and Mandy is very happy. She sounds like a great friend to her but her mum thinks that Tanya is a bad girl even though Mandy is certain that she is the correct friend for her. I would recommend this book to and JW fans!
