The 50 Best Book Series for 7 and 8 Year Olds

Hitting the ages 7 and 8 is an exciting time: our little ones are starting to feel all grown up! They've got their own personalities and preferences, which they clearly (and often loudly) express, and they are becoming more and more independent with each day.

As children in this age range are still developing, a big part of our job as parents, teachers and guardians is to make sure they continue to build vocabulary, fluency and comprehension skills. The best way to do this is getting them hooked on a series that serves up all their favourite ingredients in a story. That might be breathtaking adventure, graphic novels, magical stories of dragons, potions and spells. Or maybe just something that'll make them belly laugh.

Scroll down to find the best series for your 7 and 8 year olds. We've split them into categories, so you know just want to expect and can easily find what will be the best match for your little one.
