    Jeremy Strong Biography
Jeremy Strong has been publishing books since the 1978 and still has many more stories to tell. To date he has published over one hundred books and shows no sign of stopping yet! Imagine how full his bookshelves must be!

Most of his books are illustrated by Nick Sharratt, who also illustrates for Jacqueline Wilson. The series Cartoon Kid is illustrated by Steve May, and My Brother’s Famous Bottom by Rowan Clifford.

Jeremy Strong has most recently published The Genius Aged 8 ¼ illustrated by Jamie Smith, and a new story about Streaker called The-Hundred-Mile-An-Hour-Dog Master of Disguise illustrated by Nick Sharratt. Both have been published this year and are available to buy now.

    Jeremy Strong Facts
Jeremy Strong was born in South East London in 1949.

He studied English at York University and worked as a primary school teacher and then Head teacher until he left the profession in 1991 to write full-time.

He is leading a ‘Campaign for Fun’ to encourage reading for pleasure, and has a Krazy Club available for fans to join.

He is very accident prone and began his spell of accidents by falling out of a first floor window when he was three. Further accidents including falling out of trees, playing kiss chase and riding a bike at a thousand miles an hour!

Our favourite Jeremy Strong Book Characters
    Streaker – from The Hundred-Mile-An-Hour-Dog

Nicholas’s Granny – from My Granny’s Great Escape

Doctor Starkly Bonkers – from Doctor Bonkers

Our favourite Jeremy Strong Book Quotes
“‘That’s the one!’ she cried. ‘That’s the bottom I’m after. Darling you have the most gorgeous bottom!’” (My Brother’s Famous Bottom)

“Streaker can out accelerate a torpedo. She can do 0 to 100mph in the blink of an eye. She’s usually vanished over the far horizon long before you have time to yell – ‘Streaker!’” (The Hundred-Mile-An-Hour Dog)

“Parents are lovely, aren’t they? There you are on your death bed and all they can think about is money. I could have been choking my way to heaven!” (Beware! Killer Tomatoes)
