This funny yet sweet series is a true celebration of friendship for first-time independent readers aged 7+, full of black-and-white illustrations throughout. The books are written by superstar comedy writer Jeremy Strong and illustrated to perfection by Rebecca Bagley.
Armadillo and Hare are the bes of friends and they live together in a small house in the Big Forest. While the two friends love each other very much, but they certainly have their differences. Hare loves dancing and playing the tube and music and excitement, whereas Armadillo couldn't care much for anything besides cheese. In each book, we meet their friends, including an acrobatic wombat, a know-it-all lobster, and a hungry jaguar, and we get to see them find a happy medium every time a challenge comes their way.
This is a great step up from Winnie-The-Pooh and is perfect if you love reading Books About Friendship.
