Murder mysteries are many children's favourite genre to read: they love guessing whodunnit, picking up on clues, and pondering over all the possible outcomes. Here is a middle grade mystery series set in school, with three classmates as our detectives.
The books follow new-boy-in-school Jonno who initially hates living in his new town. Then we've got Lydia, who is the school reporter and thinks her news story will sweep everything else off the front page. And finally there's young carer Daniel, who has got quite a lot on his plate at home. In each book, they must solve a murder that has somehow landed on their desk. Although each character is quite different to each other, they know just how to join forces and work together to get to the bottom of the strange crimes happening in school.
This is a great series for anyone who loves middle grade crime and mystery, and is perfect for anyone who loves reading stories set in today's world, like A High-Rise Mystery Series and The After School Detective Club.
