Especially created for World Book Day 2012, this fun farmyard song is based on the hugely popular WHAT THE LADYBIRD HEARD (978-0-230-70650-7). With MOOing and HISSing and BAAing and CLUCKing, the farmyard is full of noise. But when Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len hatch a plot to steal the fine prize cow, they don't reckon on the quietest animal of all to save the day! Set to music, this jolly farmyard singsong is ideal for all children who can't wait to spend their World Book Day voucher.

This is one of my sons favourite Julia Donaldson stories. It has great rhyme throughout and he loves all the animal noises. He finds it especially funny when they all start making the wrong sounds! It's also great fun trying to spot the tiny ladybird is on each page.

Read with one of my SEN children with very little English.  He loves this book mostly the sounds that the animals make especially when it gets muddled.  We have repeatedly read this book (his choice) and he loves the repetition.
