Really funny book, although it's part of a series we haven't read the previous books and still managed to follow this one with no problems. Lots of laugh out loud moments to be had, great book.

This is another excellent book in the Mr Gum series, and is full of all the usual characters.  In this story we find out that Mr Gum and his very bad sidekick Billy William the Third are on a mission to destroy Lamonic Bibber by burning an enormous pile of meat!  Polly (or Mr Polly as she is called in this book) and Friday O'Leary are puzzled by the strange occurrence of clouds falling out of the sky, and set up The Department of Clouds and Yoghurts to investigate.  As with all the books in this series there is much humour and silliness that is hugely appealing to my son and made him giggle and laugh all the way through. The playful language and strange combination of words and made up phrases kept his attention all the way through. Sadly, it is the last one in the series for us, so we will now eagerly await the next book from Andy Stanton and/or start reading these books all over again.
