About Walter de la Mare

Walter de la Mare (1873-1956) was born in Charlton, Kent. In 1907 he published his first collection of poems he soon established a wide popular reputation with volumes like The Listeners. He wrote poetry and short stories for younger readers; Peacock Pie (1913) is now considered a twentieth-century classic.

About Carolina Rabei

Carolina Rabei has loved drawing since she was very small. She studied Fine Art, attaining a BA in Graphic Design in Moldova and then Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art. Carolina's stunning first picture book illustrating Walter de la Mare's poem, Snow, was published to much critical acclaim and nominated for the esteemed Kate Greena
