About J. Meade Falkner

J. Meade Falkner was born in 1858 in Wiltshire and spent much of his childhood in Dorchester and Weymouth before settling in Durham. He studied at Oxford and became a successful businessman, travelling widely. He wrote three novels: The Lost Stradivarius , Moonfleet and The Nebuly Coat. He died in 1932.
