The hilarious and ever-optimistic Timmy Failure, and his sidekick polar bear, Total, create chaos as they attempt to make sense of the world in the first book in the New York Times bestselling series.

Perfect for fans of Wimpy Kid and Big Nate, Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made is the first book in the New York Times bestselling series. Listed as one of 100 Children's Modern Classics by The Sunday Times, it was also a Book Trust Best Book Awards winner.

Meet Timmy Failure, founder of the "best" detective agency in town - Total Failure, Inc. With the help of his polar bear, Total, the clueless, comically self-confident Timmy already has plans for world domination. Plans that will make his mother rich and unpaid bills a thing of the past. And plans that will defeat Corrina Corrina, "The One Whose Name Shall Not Be Uttered". But she's not going away. Riotously funny, Timmy Failure is sure to have readers in stitches.

This is probably the funniest book I've ever read. Timmy Failure thinks he is the best detective in the universe, but in reality he's an underachiever with less than mediocre detective skills. He comes up with the most complicated deductions when the answer is staring at him in the face. He also has a pet polar bear, Total. However, Timmy is the only person that understands Total, so he might be imaginary. Timmy has an arch-enemy, Corrina Corrina, who also runs a detective agency. However, Corrina Corrina is just a girl with extremely high grades who doesn't know Timmy exists.

I liked this book A LOT because it is very very funny and just my kind of thing but it had quite a lot of long words   :)
my favourite character was probably Total even though he is a polar bear.  He can talk to Timmy but not to anyone else so he maybe is imaginary, but he's silly and made me lol. :D
I can't wait for the next one.

This book is extremely funny. It contains lots and lots of funny jokes, that keep you laughing for hours. My favourite character is Total the Polar Bear. everything he says or does is always something that winds Timmy up, and ruins his plans. Timmy's detective service is called Total Failure, due to Total the bear and his surname Failure. This book is perfect for anyone who loves a good laugh.

Timmy fancies himself as a great detective. He runs his own detective agency from a cupboard at his house, with Total the polar bear. It's a crazy story, but so funny and fun to read. I liked the funny cartoons in the book, and I liked that Timmy had a big imagination. I really liked Timmy's character, I didn't want to put the book down, there was something that made me laugh on every page. It's definitely a new favourite of mine and probably one of the funniest books I've ever read.

This book was really funny with a great mystery thrown in. The characters and plot are silly which makes me laugh. Think you should read these books in order as this first book introduces the characters and will make the other books make sense. I am looking forward to reading more of this series as I found it really gripping. If you have finished the Diary Wimpy Kid books and looking for something different to try then pick up Timmy Failure.

Gracie (11): " I like the humour in this book. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes 'Diary Of A Wimpy Kid. Both books are amazingly funny and very enjoyable."
Katy (11): "Timmy Failure is a joy to read aloud, with rib-tickling humour and moments so sad that tears pour down your face."
Phoebe (11): "I think the book Timmy Failure is good because it's funny and I like the language it uses - it's interesting."

It was a really good book, but I didn't really get the storyline, it was a bit crazy! The illustrations were really funny. My favourite character was Total, the Polar Bear, because he kept eating out of the bin and he ate Timmy's mascot. The length of the story, the print size and the vocabulary were all good, and I would like to read more in the series so I can figure ouybthe storyline more.
