This book was an amazing read, it keeps you on the edge of your seat and wanting to read on at the end of every page. The characters were interesting and just when you think you know them they change! This book takes you on an adventure and makes you feel really Christmassy. The illustrations keep you interested and helps you understand what you're reading, bringing it to life! So sit back, pull up a glass of milk and a cookie and enjoy!

What a FUN tastic Christmas Tale!! William Trundle is a lonely boy who longs for a friend that understands him, and his Christmas Mad Father. When A happy accident means that a Dinosaur from the North Pole ends up at his house on Christmas Eve, it changes everything for him. We loved the funny elves and their rhyming songs, and the story of how a prehistoric dinosaur ended up in the North Pole! a 5 Star book, easy reading, and fun for all!

A wonderful story for the festive period. I read to my class of Year 1/2 children at the end of every day throughout November and December. It was funny, emotional, serious and exciting all at the same time. The plot was full of surprises, twists and turns and yet was very relatable to all of the children in my class. They adored the christmasaurus and William Trundle and sat in silence each day to hear the next instalment. The CD soundtrack was a fabulous addition and really bought the book to life.

I can honestly say this is one of my favourite childrens book that I have read to my children. I think i enjoyed it as much as my daughter. It is really well written, perfectly to catch a childs attention. It has everything really, humour, a really lovable main character, a loathsome 'baddie' and a dinosaur mixed with the magic of Christmas. Can't recommend this book enough.

This is a fantastic story, especially to read at Christmas.   It is about a Christmas dinosaur that grew up in the North Pole.  One Christmas it got left behind when Santa was delivering the presents.  The story then follows a boy in his quest to get the Christmasaurus home safely.  A great read.  Would recommend.

Beautiful, emotional and tender book which I have loved reading to my son (and he has loved it too!)  It is very sad in places so might not be suitable for very sensitive children - my son was in tears at one point - but it is dealt with with real sensitivity and opens up conversations for you to have with your child.  It's a fun, engaging and new christmas story, which insludes a dinosaur - perfect!!!  The pictures are lovely and there's lots of scope for silly voices and singing.  As a chapter book we read 1 or 2 chapters a night, which has been managable.  My son has loved it!

This is the most magical book.  It is so beautifully written and the illustrations bring the text to life.  I have loved reading this to my 6 year old daughter, we have found it hard to put it down before bed as each chapter seems to leave you in suspense!

It brings the magic of Santa and the North Pole together with a boys goodness, with a touch or evil and despair!  It was really quite exciting.

We loved the characters and the way they were developed, William Trundle the main character shows such kindness we decided we wanted to be his friend too.

I know it's a Christmas book but we would recommend reading this any time.  I think we'll be reading this every December from now on!

I bought this book on a whim last year (2017), I thought the children might like the musical CD having heard "Afraid of Heights", but a Christmas story about a dinosaur, hmm, I wasn't convinced. My three children were not into dinosaurs, I wasn't sure the book would interest them, but how wrong was I?! They are absolutely loved this book, which I read aloud to the youngest two (Age 5 and 8 at the time). They were both engaged, listening and eager for more. It's funny, it's sad, it engaging. There are parts of the book, which I thought they would have found upsetting, but they have rolled with it. William is in a wheelchair, and this is one of the very few children's books I've seen where the is a main character with a disability, it's refreshing to read.

You can listen to the CD independently, or can play the songs as you come to the song number in the book. We all love the CD, the lyrics at times are very funny. If you are thinking about the book with or without the CD, go for the CD. We have even listened to the Christmasaurus the Musical in the middle of August.

DS has read the book twice independently since, and we have already started it again this year as we approach Christmas (just to ensure we manage to get all our Christmas books read).

This is best children's book I've read for a while - suitable from age 5 to 11.

Lily loves this book, even now 2 years later. It’s grown up enough to make her feel older but still magical and child like at the same time. A perfect mix for a 9 year old girl!

I loved this book very much. It was nice to read in the run up to Christmas. It is quite long though so needed plenty of time. I do think it should have more colour and more illustration, my paperback version didn’t. I will definitely read it again next Christmas.
