'This book is bonkers but proper funny- it's Drake meets James Bond' Match of the Day Magazine

"You've probably heard of me, right? Little Badman. No? Oh. Well. . . Doesn't matter. You will do one day. I'm gonna be big." I'm Humza Khan, the greatest eleven-year-old rapper Eggington has ever known; soon everyone will know my name. Only problem is school has got really weird, man. All my teachers are disappearing and our aunties are taking over. It wasn't too bad at the start, they keep feeding us delicious snacks. Like, all the time. But now these aunties are trying to mess with my music , so me and my best friends Umer and Wendy are going to hunt for the truth. Cos something big and bad is going on and we won't let anything mess with my music... or you know, the world. A hilarious and fast-paced adventure from comedian Humza Arshad and screen writer Henry White, perfect for fans of David Solomons and David Baddiel.

It's a funny book about a boy who is desperate to be a DJ Rapper. He keeps getting in trouble in school and one day he takes it too far. So to earn some money and to teach him discipline he has to help with grandpa and join the cricket team. With the help of his grandpa, best mate and Wendy he discovers that's aliens have overtaken the aunties, who seem to be replacing the teachers. It is funny how Humza defeats the Aliens and all is good in the end. It has a great message in it about being yourself, not caring so much about what others think and to appreciate your family. My boy loved the whole book; he liked the Dad getting mad, found the slugs funny and thought the Grandpa was great. My boy wanted me to keep reading this to him everything spare moment we had. A fab book!

I liked this book because it was silly and funny, even the first page made me laugh. I didn't like it when Humza got into trouble but he soon got out of trouble and with his friends, saves everyone from the killer aunties. I wanted to read this book because the front cover looked really good and stood out to me with bright colours. I liked the author and have watched him on YouTube before, also I wanted to read it because I liked the synopsis and wanted to find out more. Inside the book there were illustrations that I liked and they looked like comic illustrations. I will recommend this book to all my friends and give it 5 stars. I will definitely read the next book.

Lucas was a bit too young to get his head around this but, as an adult, I thought it was a really fun book.
Humza has ambitions to be a famous rapper but his Dad has designs on him running the family business when he's old enough - alongside shining in the school cricket team.  If he doesn't start getting his act together his Dad is threatening to ship him off to Pakistan!
Trouble is, it's a bit tricky to concentrate at school as all the teachers seem to be mysteriously disappearing.  With teachers dropping like flies the headmaster has drafted in his aunty (multiple aunties from the community in fact).  They seem more interested in overfeeding the kids than trying to teach them anything.
It becomes clear to Humza that all is not as it seems - but who, or what, are controlling all the aunties and why?
Fab illustrations and a really funny tale - I thoroughly enjoyed this!

I read this to both of my kids at the same time (8 year old boy and 10 year old girl). They both really enjoyed the story. The first half of the book was good and developed our understanding of the main characters well. The second half was awesome! The pace really quickened and the suspense grew, so we found it really hard to put the book down at the end of each chapter (the chapters are quite long so we tried to only read one per evening!). Even my husband wouldn't leave the room as he was gripped by the story too!! The details of the aunties' plan were a real twist (we had predicted a different scenario), and were quite gruesome in a humorous way. My kids go to a Church of England school and my daughter got very uncomfortable every time I read out the word 'hell'. My son on the other hand loved that the main character used this word lot because it made him feel rebellious!

Great storyline full of humour as the aunties take over the school . My children loved the main character Humza and his antics but their minds did stray at places throughout the book which I think was more due to their age and understanding rather than enjoyment. I think I will return to this book in a year or so and we will reread it
