A hilariously funny and fabulously glamorous series from the author of It Girl. Perfect for fans of Geek Girl, Super Awkward and Girl Online

Flick's family have owned The Royale - one of London's most prestigious hotels - for generations. But Flick isn't that interested. She is interested in the newest guest - superstar celebrity Skylar Chase, and Sky's mega-famous group of friends, including dreamy YouTube star, Ethan Duke. But just as Flick gets the chance to join their glittering squad, she gets grounded following an unfortunate incident involving a prince, a wardrobe and a selfie stick (it could have happened to anyone!). With only her Instagram star pet dachshund, Fritz, for company, will Flick find a way to escape The Royale and join the fame game?

'Fans of Geek Girl will love this!' - Top of the Pops magazine on It Girl

Katy Birchall is the author of the side-splittingly funny The It Girl: Superstar Geek, The It Girl: Team Awkward and The It Girl: Don't Tell the Bridesmaid. She also worked at Country Life magazine as their Deputy Features Editor. Katy won the 24/7 Theatre Festival Award for Most Promising New Comedy Writer with her very serious play about a ninja monkey at a dinner party. Her pet labradors are the loves of her life, she is mildly obsessed with Jane Austen and one day she hopes to wake up as an elf in The Lord of the Rings. Katy lives in Brixton, London.

I’m a big fan of Katy Birchall’s funny, clever writing and I ADORED this. Somehow it pulls off being hugely glamorous (it’s like eating macarons in a party dress) with being real about the hilarious embarrassment of being a teen. Flick (loved her from pg 1) may be involved in the serious business of growing up but it’s v v funny!

What a brilliant and funny book! I couldn’t put it down. At the beginning I was a bit frustrated with the main character, Flick, who came across as being really spoilt. I loved the fact that she had really changed by the end of the book, and had learned that you shouldn’t ever take anything for granted. Would highly recommend this book to girls of my age or older.

I was stuck for a book to read so thought why not give one of my girls a try. I absolutely loved it. Was funny, smart and very relatable. The story was so perfectly written and characters so well described you really got to know them and love them.
I'm 34 and would recommend this book to young and old. Such a lovely feel good book with a strong messaged throughout. Trust in who you are. Follow your heart not the crowd.

The story is about a girl called Flick. She lives in a glamorous hotel. Skylar Chase, pop sensation, is staying at the hotel. Flick has a chance to hang around him but she gets grounded. I didnt like her character at the beginning but towards the end i warmed to her. It was funny in parts. Enjoyable book recommended for pre teens

My daughter really enjoyed this book and didn’t put it down all summer. Flick is the main character who you fall in love with straight away. She is a typical teenage needing her phone for social media being grounded but wants my to hand out with Superstar Skylar. My daughter found this book funny and has been sharing it with her friends who have enjoyed it

This is a good girly read. Its not the usual book i would choose but thought i would give it a go. I'm glad i did as i enjoyed it.
Flick is a rich spoilt brat who is bit obsessed with hanging with the rich and famous. After getting grounded, she decides to try and get into her mums good books again by helping out in the running of the family hotel. She has a few funny teenage dramas along the way which made me laugh out loud.
Flick realises just how much work goes into running the hotel and her outlook on life changes for the better, She starts to treat people better, which was nice to see.
I loved the fact there was a dog in this book too! Bonus for me.
I would recommend this book
