I got this book for World Book Day and it is when Tina goes on holiday and takes her best friend with her and her two siblings go on holiday to the beach and Tina's friend isn't welcome at first but then she's got a smart phone with a camera and then she's welcome to them  and they make butterflies on the beach with twigs and the sand and they become good friends.

I would recommend this book, I really enjoyed it.

this book was really good. I have read the butterfly club so I understood it better. selma and Tina are best friends and one day Selma gets asked by Tina's dad if she wants to go on holiday to the beach with them. Selma is over the moon. I liked that when Selma gets home her Step father tells her something that puts her under pressure. But Selma sticks with her friend and goes to the beach. I think my favourite bit was when Selma and Tina go out to the beach in secret and make a lovely butterfly on the beach. I really enjoyed this world book day book and will be reading it again and again and again. I would recommend this book to ages 7 plus. Also I would recommend reading butterfly club first. It makes more sense.

I read this to Alex (male). I found it quite sad as the characters have had a rough time of things. Alex enjoyed it which I was surprised about as it had such a strong quota of female characters.

Good. A beach enthusiast would find it cool. It's a funny book and it might be aimed for girls more than boys but it's for anyone really.

I really enjoyed this book because it was funny and exciting. The characters were funny, mean and kind. The reason why I rated Butterfly Beach 4 stars is because it wasn't that interesting and I didn't really get into it. People who have enjoyed Jacqueline Wilson's previous books will like this book.

Imagine if you decided to go on holiday with your best friends family and discovering you could have gone to Disneyland instead (with your realllllllllllly mean stepfather!)! That's exactly what happened to Selma. The book made me laugh out loud as it had some good/funny things in it.
It's a story of good friendship and a special bond. It shows you that taking an opportunity to do something less exciting but being with your friends turned out to be better.
I enjoyed the book and would read it again and again and again etc. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes modern books.

I haven't read any other books by Jacqueline Wilson so I didn't know about the characters. I didn't like the mean person at the start. It made me feel sad. I think she had a horrid life and that made me sad as well. I am glad that Tina was so nice. Her dad was really nice too. I am glad that I read the book. It was very short and I read it all on my own without any problems. I think girls would like this best as the characters are girls. People my age would enjoy this but it might be too easy for much older.

I have never read a book by this author before, as I always think them to be girly books, and I do think this book would definitely appeal more to girls. The main characters were all girls. It was an OK story but I couldn't get into it that well. It wouldnt be the kind of book I would choose to read. I did feel sorry for Selma, even though at the start she came across as very mean, But I was glad she got to have a nice holiday with her best friend Tina.

I liked it when Selma got a phone and no one on holiday with her had a phone except the parents.  The characters were very funny because when they were reading books the three twins were making pig noises from the three pigs: Peter Pig, Percy Pig and PomPom Pig.  Selma thought it was babyish because she never ever did silly things except with her best friend Tina.  I enjoyed the story a lot because it was funny and not what you were expecting.

I had to get my mummy to help me read this book as some of the pages were just a bit to much for me. Maybe because I found it hard to get into at first or as I am new to longer reads on my own.
I still enjoyed reading it though. I liked meeting all the different characters, all different personalities. One even had the same name as my mum which I liked.
The story is funny and exciting. I think people will like this story if they already read Jacqueline Wilsons story.

I really like this book. I read it to myself at bedtime and enjoyed every single word and it was a joy to read. It's all about a girl called Selma who has gone on holiday with her best friend Tina . I liked it because it was exciting and a fabulous book. It stars best friends from the butterfly club. I would recommend it to 8 and 9 year olds or Jacqueline Wilson fans. It's a world book day book.
