This book is great! It was a fab way to introduce my almost six year old to mazes/puzzles. He soon got the hang of doing them and really enjoyed them.

As if that wasn't enough, there is a storyline to follow where Marco's travelling around but losing items so not only do you get the fun aspect of the puzzles to help him get them back, you get to learn lots of facts about different countries. Caleb loves to learn so he was really enthralled. I would definitely recommend!

My son love this book, as well as being mazes I tells a story with the characters featuring on each page and needing help in some way. Some are easier than others and have a number difficulty rating next to them. They are all very different and unique and my son has been enjoying the challenges. Highly recommended.

What a lovely book. My son loves puzzles & mazes and I have found him a few times in his bedroom, quietly absorbed in the book. He will read the little bit of information about each destination Marco arrives at then let me know all about it. He has a map of the world on the wall in his bedroom so he then likes to look to see where in the world Marco is. A really great way to introduce geography. I like the way he can dip in and out of the book, and although there is a storyline to follow it doesn't matter if he picks a page randomly.

This was a fantastic book. Ellis and I really enjoyed learning new facts on each page.
He spent quite a long time completing the mazes which was great and didn't need much supervision. He is 6 and it was just the right age group for him to hold his attention but not be too hard to complete.
The actual book was sturdy and the pages were thick and good quality. I would buy any similar books.

My daughter loves puzzles, mazes all kind of activities books and this one was perfect for her. She is 6 years old and in my opinion this book is perfect for her age. There is many interesting information about countries. The book is not very colourful but we don't mind it. We have hours of fun with this book!

I like all the different facts about all the countries. Some of the mazes are more complicated than others, but I like that you can do one and then come back another day to more. The pictures are nice and don't have much colour. I love mazes and would like more books like this one.

This looked like a lovely book and we enjoyed the fact that it had a story and quest behind the mazes. My daughter loves mazes but at almost 5 this was just too tricky for her. She had a good go at some of the more simple ones I found but was frustrated she couldn't do the others. We loved the story and the pictures and mazes were fab for an older child, perhaps 6 or 7. I'll be putting this one away for a while until she's a little older.

Another fab book from the Lonely Planet.  It follows the adventures of Marco who is visiting various places around the world. Each page focuses on a place, and there is a small box filled with text like instructions to Marco.  This is a clever idea and makes the book stand out from other maze books we've got.  It was very interesting to read each page, as there are facts about the places Marco is visiting during his adventure.  My son loved 'rice terror tangle' from the Philippines, 'ice storm' from the Antarctic, and 'pie time' from the Florida Keys.   I really liked how there was a 'flummox rating' for each maze which helps the child realise that the mazes may be easier or harder.  The only problem we had with the book, and hence why it's 4 stars not 5, is that the whole book is in one colour which is black outlines and infilled with a shades of blue.  Both my son and I thought it could be better by having various colours for each page.  Overall though it's a very good way of introducing places of interest from around the world and what they are famous for through many different mazes.  Good fun for boys and girls from 5 - 12 years old.

This is a great book full of mazes, it's kept my son going for ages as he loves mazes. Explorers Marco and Amelia help photographer Geronimo Keats find all his prized possessions that he has left all over the world. To find them they need to navigate lots of mazes! Each maze is in a different location, with lots of information so you learn about the different places at the same time. There are over 40 mazes (all with answers at the back). At first I was a bit disappointed with the minimal colours (we have an Usborne maze book that is really colourful) but then I realised less money spent on printing ink means even more mazes to do, which is great on a rainy day or long journey.
