Beautiful bold pictures in his book that my baby loves to look at and reach for. She's too young to know animal sounds yet but I can see this book would bring them on thick and fast. It ha's lots of different animals in, more than most of this sort of book so it's nice to have more than the usual. He double page at the back would be good to play spotting games and I spy with an older child.

This board book is bright and attractive for our one year old.  He turns the pages and points to the animals.  I particularly like the double page at the back with all the animals on, Carter likes to point to the birds and signs bird while looking at them.

This beautifully designed board book is colourful and vibrant. Each page has a bold-coloured background that allows each animal picture to stand out. I really like this design feature of the book and the use of the different colours. I also like the double page spread of all the animals at the back of the book. It's great to have a book with a large variety of animals for my son to learn the names and sounds of. My 18 month old now responds to pages by making the animal sounds!

Layla - Jane and I love this book. It is so vibrant with blocks of colour and then patterns on the animals. We can say the sounds together and the more we read it the more LJ knows what sounds are coming next. The lion is our favourite. I like the fact that there is a double page spread of all the animals at the back so we can play games and identify and point to them. This is destined to be a regular favourite for snuggles with grandma.

This is a simple yet fabulous board book to share with your littlest bookworms. The bold and bright illustrations are just so appealing and each page has a colourful picture of an animal together with the sound they make. We particularly love the smiling lion! My toddler enjoys holding the book and turning the pages as it is the perfect size for her little hands. It is also very robust and has a high quality finish. We will certainly be checking out some of the other titles in Jane Foster's series.

Lovely well made and presented book, great for little hands! The animals really stand out on each page due to the bright colours. I like the way it has written beside each animal the sound it makes. I can already tell that this book is going to be a constant favourite in our house!

This is a beautifully illustrated book and you can see that the author is a textile designer. The colours are also unusual for a children's book, which makes a nice change from the usual bright primary colours. There is no story as it is animal noises but a good talking point with children

We have been been using this book with our two year old daughter.  It, at first, appeared very young for her as a simple book as she has been very good with animal sounds but then using it as a platform to help her to developing speaking has been great - we can start with the noises and then ask her to tell us about the picture and describe the animals.
The pictures are clear and include some animals not always seen in this kind of book (different kinds of birds for example) and the colours are vibrant.
A great book to support a child's learning

The illustrations in this book are lovely and bright, and its a stylish book, but I think it might have appealed to me more than my daughter. I felt it was trying to be a bit too 'trendy' for a baby book.
