This Life Skills Programme is linked to the ACE Literacy Programme by a set of readers, which provide the stories and settings for activities in both these learning areas. Learners become familiar with the events and characters in the readers, which provide a recognizable context for the activities in the workbook. While the workbook provides lively activities for learners who may not have had the advantage of a year in Grade R, the teacher's guide supports the teacher in presenting the activities and also builds up knowledge of the other overlapping learning areas.
