Le Petit Prince was first published in France in 1943, as a novella written by the French aristocrat, writer, poet and pioneering aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupery (1900 - 44). Translated into many languages it remains one of the bestselling books of all time. The expert colourist has reworked the illustrations to provide a more vibrant and contemporary appearance to the book. Likewise, the translator has considered the original French text and rendered it into a concise modern English while maintaining the flavour of the original text.
