My 6 year old loves this story, we have 2 chapters every night, and have read it several times all the way through. Its lovely to read, especially to someone who has a naughty little sister of their own. Gentle story lines, very age appropriate

Pure delight to read
A now grown-up big sister tells of her memories of her little sister... who is an adorable little cheeky monkey. Stories feature her antics eating cake, meeting Father Christmas, getting her photo taken, a new big girl bed and all sorts of everyday adventures and mischief. I read these at the local library when I was little and recently they popped into my head when thinking what to add to my daughter's collection. We are both completely hooked! The sense of history and a time gone by is clear, and it's nice to be asked or discuss some of the phrases or activities that the family get up to and how gender roles have changed, yet the characters have always been. The stories are so simple they are genius. I read them to my attentive daughter, she reads them too. Absolutely timeless and brilliant!

I like this book because of all of all the pictures. It's also all about a little six year old girl like me, I like hearing about her fun adventures a little bit like the ones I have myself!

I've started reading these to my nearly 5 year old boy, and he loves them, I used to love being read them when I was his age. I was a bit worried they would be more dated than they are, but although there are lots of references to people being naughty there are no awful punishments (so far). Lots of sweet stories about a little girl who sometimes just can't help herself and do things she isn't supposed to do, like play with her big sister's special doll, eat a surprise trifle and pick tulips in a neighbour's garden.

I like this book because the girl is 6 like me and has a naughty little sister like me.
I have managed to read this book by myself, but there are some words I don't know the meaning of so I have to ask my mum or dad to help at times.
I have taken a bit longer than I thought to read this book, but it is very good, and makes me laugh out loud sometimes.
