A traitor is on the throne. Agatha is on the run.  Her best friend might be a traitor as well. All her other friends are captured. No one can save them, except from Agatha herself. But how can she get all her friends out of a high-security jail while keeping herself hidden from the evil King and his assistant? Things are about to get interesting…

This book was absolutely incredible!!! I hadn’t read any of the other books in the series, but that made no difference whatsoever to my understanding of the plot. The characters were strong, vivid and very original. I liked the fact that all the characters were heroes in some way or another, whether it was fighting in battles or just being lookouts against the King’s evil pirates…

I particularly enjoyed the way the POV changed with each chapter, so that the reader could discover different emotions, opinions and events that happened during the different characters’ lives. I also think that the setting all the books are set in (the Woods) is very clever - combining different fairytales and legends into one big kingdom that is filled with fantastical and normal creatures.

I would ABSOLUTELY 100% recommend this book, whether you have read the series or not. It is adventurous, suspenful, action-packed and a true page-turner - what more could you want? It is very long, but still quite easy to follow, therefore I would recommend it to children aged 10+. Get ready for book six!
