The Missing Bunny

If your little one isn't quite an independent reader yet, we always find the Little Gems books a brilliant option, with their slightly longer text than picture books and full-colour illustrations throughout to encourage readers aged 5+ to take their next steps.

In this book, little Annie discovers her bunny, Humbug, has gone missing, and must find him before he gets caught by the neighbourhood fox. This is such a sweet and gentle animal story, written by the one and only Holly Webb, with soft illustrations by Antonia Woodward

Inside the book's cover is an activity to play, and this book will help your little reader build vocabulary, reading speed and stamina to develop a love for reading that will last a lifetime.

One Little Chick

Keeping on our board-book and novelty trend is this sweet 14-page story about the life cycle of a little chick, with such sweet and soft illustrations and peep-through holes.

This is an excellent book to introduce your child to the concept of life and growth, exploring how a little chick develops in her egg, hatches and begins to explore the world as a sweet little ball of fluff. The book also covers her growth, as she develops into a pullet, an adult hen, and finally begins to hatch her own eggs.

The book also includes holes to peep through on every page, which makes the read even more engaging and fun for our babies and toddlers.

Together with our little ones aged 8+, we couldn't be more excited to see a new National Trust Origami book come out just in time for Easter break, themed around beautiful springtime plants and flowers.

All the origami books are published in collaboration with the National Trust, with beautiful paper-cut artwork from Clover Robin and poems. We're Going on an Egg Hunt

And moving onto picture books, we're so excited about this Easter-themed reimagining of the American folk song, We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Goldie Hawk, with unique bright and bold illustrations from Angie Rozelaar.

This book sums up all the best things to love about Easter, from flapping hens, hungry bunnies, hopping frogs and of course...EGGS! At the end of the book we get the grand finale with an Easter parade. The book is so colourful, and the words feature repeated phrases to help your little one learn new words better.

Harris Finds His Feet

For a timeless classic picture book to read to your little one over and over again, Catherine Rayner's award-winning classic-in-the-making will be a beloved addition to your little one's collection.

This gorgeous book is about a small hare named Harris who is just learning to, quite literally, find his feet. His sweet grandad decides to show him how to use his big feet to hop into the sky, climb mountains, and run, run, run. It's a beautiful book about becoming independent, and a tribute to what our elders can teach us.

This short 32-page picture book is full of heart and grandparent love.

Bee: Nature's tiny miracle

We've raved about this big and beautiful book for quite a few years now, and cannot stop recommending it with its large format, cut-outs and bold illustrations for toddlers and older readers alike.

Like all the books in the Peek-through Nature books series, this one follows the life cycle of a nature element - a bee! The pages explain its journey as it pollinates flower after flower. The peep-through pages are definitely a stand-out of this book, along with the lyrical text by Patricia Hegarty and beautiful illustrations from Britta Teckentrup.

This is a truly collectable book that will shine on your shelf thanks to its large format.

Paddington’s Easter Egg Hunt

We're big Paddington book and film lovers, so there couldn't be a book recommendation list without this 32-page picture book!

In this adventure, Paddington is organising an Easter egg hunt for his neighbours. But not with challenges. The supermarket shelves are empty, the Easter eggs are broken... everything is going wrong! That is, until Mr Gruber’s book on Roman mosaics and some sticky marmalade give him a brilliant idea...

This egg-hunt themed picture book is such a sweet read for the Easter holidays about creativity, generosity and kindness.

Five Little Easter Bunnies: A Lift-the-Flap Adventure

... and here it is! Hop Little Bunnies is also part of The Bunny Adventures books with flaps on every age and another counting adventure for little ones.

In this book, five cute Easter bunnies are going on an Easter egg hunt for five delicious eggs to find and count. Of course there are obstacles here too, from having to climb trees, peek into nests and look under leaves to find their eggs. This book is based on the popular childhood rhyme 'Five Little Speckled Frogs',  while We're Going on an Egg Hunt was based on the traditional 'We're Going on a Lion Hunt' rhyme.

If you're looking for a new book after having already read We're Going on an Egg Hunt, we couldn't recommend this next book in the series more.
