Sue Bentley Biography
Sue Bentley lives in Northamptonshire where she was born. She worked for Northamptonshire libraries for many years. Sue loves everything about books, how they feel, how they smell, how they transport you to new and secret worlds. She says, ‘Reading is the best adventure you can have!’

Sue has written over 70 books for a variety of age groups. She is best known for her multi-million selling Magic Kitten Series, Magic Puppy Series, Magic Ponies Series and Magic Bunny Series - for readers aged 5-9 years. While very sweet and magical, these books deal with real issues too, like bullying, loneliness, integration, dealing with the death of a pet - and the books reflect the diversity of modern culture.

We Other, published in April 2017, is Sue's first book for Young Adults readers - although adults will enjoy it too. Fans of her original Magic Kitten books, now aged 14 upwards will love We Other, where gritty reality sits side by side with fantasy. Sue says, 'We Other is a dark faery thriller, with a modern twist and an outlook that is entirely my own. I have lived with Jess Morgan, the main character; Ivy Stark painter of nightmare scenes; Caleb Farmer who is trying to break away from a domineering father, and the many, many others in the book - both human and otherwise, for about 3 years. And I love every one of them - faults and all.'
