Story time with Ted
Author: Sophy Henn Illustrator: Sophy Henn
This is a lovely Ted book, having read another one my baby was already familiar with the character of Ted.  This time Ted is ready to delve into a story adventures he thinks of all the different types he can have, from fairy tales to spooky adventures.  We love the illustrations in this book, and the way it will spark imagination  in older children.  The big page flaps are great for little hands too.

The Koala Who Could
Author: Rachel Bright Illustrator: Jim Field
A lovely tale about a koala called Kevin who happily sits in his tree, but his other animal friends try to encourage him to join them, but fear of the unknown stops him.  It's only when something happens that he is forced out of his comfort zone.  A great message of encouragement to children to push past their comfort zone.

Great rhyming text, and always love a book which allows for silly accents!

Wonderful pictures which we keep looking back at.

Playtime with Ted
Author: Sophy Henn Illustrator: Sophy Henn
We have loved Sophy Henn's books for older toddlers and early readers so when we spotted this in the library we knew we needed to get it.  Although aimed a little older than my baby he enjoys the pictures and it's a great introduction into encouraging imaginative play as Ted transforms a big box into all sorts of wonderful adventures, from racing cars to rockets.  Lovely large page flaps make it extra fun for little people.

Wonderful bright and bold illustrations which my baby loves.

Where's Mrs Zebra?
Illustrator: Ingela Arrhenius
This is a fabulous and robust lift the flap book.  It goes through looking for different animals but instead of your typical card flaps they are felt which makes it far easier for very little hands.  My 9 month old has really got to grips with this book and I have less fear of the flaps being torn!

It has the extra loveable page for him of a mirror under the last flap...and there's always a smiley baby looking back!  Fun illustrations and clear, simple text.
