Where's Mrs Zebra?
Illustrator: Ingela Arrhenius
This is a fabulous and robust lift the flap book.  It goes through looking for different animals but instead of your typical card flaps they are felt which makes it far easier for very little hands.  My 9 month old has really got to grips with this book and I have less fear of the flaps being torn!

It has the extra loveable page for him of a mirror under the last flap...and there's always a smiley baby looking back!  Fun illustrations and clear, simple text.

Each Peach Pear Plum
Authors: Allan Ahlberg , Janet Ahlberg Illustrator: Janet Ahlberg
This wonderful classic children book should surely be a must on any babies bookshelf!  It's catchy rhyming pages make it easy to become familiar with, which is brilliant for young children, as they learn to anticipate what comes next.  It's full of so many familiar characters from Robin Hood to the Three Bears, as they all follow through the book.

Wonderful illustrations which will last for older tots too with lots of detail, make sure to spot the hidden character on each page.

That's Not My Panda
Author: Fiona Watt
My 9 month baby loves these and he gets very excited for story time when we whip one of these books out.  Some of them I think the touchy feely bit isn't big enough but this brilliant panda one had great sensory pages which he could spot quickly to reach for.

The bold black and white panda really stands out too which my baby loved.  Would definitely recommend this one in this series.

Baby Touch and Feel Farm Animals
Author: DK
A lovely touch and feel book with fluffy pages, shiny pages...sticky pages!  It shows the adult animal and the words for each of their babies too which is a lovely introductions to animal words but with the tactile pictures too.  Great for babies to explore.

Spot: Happy Christmas, Spot!
Author: Eric Hill
We all love Spot, the books are always full of lovely bold, bright pictures and just enough words it's not too much for a baby to loose interest.  This book has full page fold outs as part of the board book.  A lovely book for babies.
