Rainbow Magic: Evie The Mist Fairy: The Weather Fairies Book 5
Author: Daisy Meadows Illustrator: Georgie Ripper
My daughter aged 7 loves the Rainbow Magic series and this book follows on from the rest but I and she both like the fact that you don't have to of read the previous books to understand this story.  Quite often we read a chapter and then forget about this book whilst reading others and then come back to it. It does repeat things so you always know whats going on in the story and definitely helps with understanding. It's full of fantasy and wonder and of course Jack Frost and the goblins. My daughter isn't a keen reader and will usually want to give up after a page or two but this she will happily read a whole chapter of.

The Tale Of Peter Rabbit
Author: Beatrix Potter
I have always loved Peter Rabbit as a child. It's lovely to share a story I loved as a child with my own children. They equally love Peter Rabbit. This book is great my eldest daughter who is 6 read this book and it challenges her with some tricky words but the majority she can read independently. My youngest loves the story and the illustrations. A classic story and a firm favourite bedtime story in our house as they also love the movie.

Room on the Broom
Author: Julia Donaldson Illustrator: Axel Scheffler
Both of my girls love this book so much. It's a lovely book about friendship. We love how to start with the cat doesn't want anyone to join them and in the end they all bond and group together to save the witch from the dragon. The words and illustrations are amazing. We are huge fans of Julia Donaldson books.

The Birthday Surprise
Author: Clara Vulliamy
It's been a while since I have seen my daughter so engrossed in a book. She genuinely didn't want to put this book down! We ended up taking longer to read the book as we read it day by day. She loved seeing what Dotty got up to and guessing what might be in store for Dotty's Birthday. It's so captivating for young readers and with the little doodles and humor it's an amazing book. We can't wait to read the others in the series.

WOW! Said the Owl
Author: Tim Hopgood
We LOVE this book! Really is such a great book for learning colours. With a lovely story about an owl and the colours of things it discovers. The handy recap at the back is useful to see the array of colours talked about.
