Alienated: Grounded at Groom Lake
Author: Jeff Norton
At first I thought this book might be a bit young for me but it was actually a really good book to read.  It was easy to get into and I liked Sherman  (the main character) from the start.
I do think this book is aimed at younger kids probably aged 10 plus, I'll pass it on to my sister as I'm sure she will enjoy reading it as well.

Rebound
Author: Kwame Alexander Illustrator: Dawud Anyabwile
Rebound is a good story, it's not written like a normal story because it is made up from a series of poems.  This did make it hard for me to get into but when I started reading it like a normal book not like poetry I got into it.

This book is about a boy called Chuck who is going through a lot dealing with the death of his Dad but with loads of support he learns to smile again.

KILLER T
Author: Robert Muchamore
Killer T is a synthetic virus that has been released by terrorists to cause mass destruction if no one pays the ransom.
This book is basically about two kids Charlie and Harry and their experiences through the dystopian future. The book is set over a few years and is broken into sections.
Its not quite the story I was expecting from the blurb but I really enjoyed it.

Shadows
Author: Meaghan McIsaac
At first I didn't have a clue what was happening in the story as this is book number two in a series. I decided to stick with it and i did enjoy the story.

Shadows is set in the future where there is a war between those who can move people/move in between times and those who seek control. This book is action packed but can be confusing at times

Scarecrow
Author: Danny Weston
It took me a while to get into Scarecrow but when it got going I enjoyed reading it.  I like Jack and Philbert is a great character. The last third of this book is really action packed and fast paced, a little violence, some smashed up cars and a satisfying ending.
