I read it (an adult)
An interesting story of two orphans they run away to Venice, it first appears as an adventure just about the runaways, but develops into a magical tale with some surprises!

I read this as a stand alone book and wasn’t sure I would enjoy it as I hadn’t read any of the other books in this series. As I got into the book, I wanted to read more and more, and ended up really enjoying it.

I really enjoyed this book. The story has hints of Alice in Wonderland, so if are familiar with it this story will make more sense.
The ending is very interesting, and the story keeps you guessing.
Some of the dialogue gets boring, but if you enjoy Cathy Cassidy stories you will probably enjoy this lots.
