This is the series for all 5 and 6 year olds to dive in and fall over laughing – it's packed with comic-book style illustrations in full colour and truly bonkers storylines that are perfect for the energy of their readership.
The series follow a set of five characters – four children and one magician – who, after a magical mega tornado hits the funfair they are attending, are TRANSFORMED! They become: Spewnicorn, a punk unicorn who vomits rainbows; Wally, a pompous and cowardly koala; Tubbs, a walking bathtub; Bloof, a blue-footed booby; and Glossy Jeff, a really chilled-out seal. They are also lost, far from home without the magical wand that could change them back.
In each new book of the series, they have to face bizarre creatures, weird landscapes and mysterious tasks as they try to find the missing wand and get back home.
This is a great series if you're looking for a graphic novel for learning readers that has a similar vibe to Bunny vs Monkey, Barb the Brave or Donut Squad.
