All the Hidden Monsters by Amie Jordan is YA romantasy with a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance, and packed full of crime. We recommend this series for readers aged 13+.

Set in an alternative Manchester, this world is split into Upside dwellers and Downside dwellers. Those who live in the Downside, the underworld, have supernatural powers and can decide whether they want to stay Downside, or move upside in their human form. Sage, our protagonist, is an ordinary girl and a werewolf, moving between worlds, desperate to make sense of her life.

When she discovers her dearest friend has been murdered, she sets her sights on solving the murder. So she joins the investigation, headed up by broody Oren, a warlock detective who only works alone. The two must figure out how to work together, and how to handle their growing feelings for each other, especially as much bigger mysteries will need solving as they unravel the secrets of the old magic lurking in their world.
