Full of sweet black-and-white illustrations throughout and a main character who looks after animals, this magical adventure series is perfect for all animal lovers aged 7+.

Our heroine is a sweet girl named Pippin, who has inherited her grandmother's special gift: she is a Shiny, and can speak to animals. And just like her grandmother, she becomes a secret crime fighter. In each story, she is solving a mystery with her granny, her little mouse Tony, and the animal friends she makes along the way as she solves new crimes. 

The series is a great read if you're a fan of The Twitchers, Picklewitch and Jack or Maggie Sparks.
