The Unwanteds Quests is the sequel series to The Unwanteds, also by Lisa McMann, and is best for readers aged 10+. It continues the story a generation later, with the children of the original characters facing new magical threats and divided worlds. There is a slightly darker tone, with more complex plots and shifting loyalties, making it a better fit for readers ready for more layered fantasy narratives.

The books in this series are longer and more challenging, both in content and structure, than the original series. They’re well suited to confident readers who enjoy long-running fantasy with emotional depth and strong worldbuilding.
