Impossible Creatures is a fantasy adventure series by Katherine Rundell. It's perfect for middle-grade readers that love a fantastical world full of magic, wonder and thrilling excitement.

The books are set in an enchanted cluster of islands called the Archipelago. It's hidden from all humans in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Here all the creatures of myth, from unicorns to dragons, that humans have ever imagined are real and alive. But this world is in grave danger, and two unlikely heroes set out to save it: Mel, a young girl with a flying coat from the Archipelago, and Christopher, a boy from the human world who animals seem to particularly feel drawn to.
