If action is what you are looking for the Young Bond series is the perfect binge-read. We are taken back in time to the 1930s where we experience the adventures that are to shape James into the spy he will later become. From James' first day at Eton to exposing international criminals in Italy the series manages to entrance all with its action and thrilling escapades.

The masterful author of the series-Charlie Higson has written many-a-bestseller from his horror series The Enemy and to his spy thriller young bond which has cemented him as a favourite among young adult readers. Steve Cole has continued the series in recent years adding books such as Red Nemesis and Strike Lightning to the series' repertoire.

In the first novel, Silverfin James makes a life-changing discovery,
there's something in the water at Loch Silverfin, something deadly, something that must be kept a secret. It's James' first day at Eton his new school, and he's already met his first enemy. This is the start of an adventure that will take him from the school playing fields to the shores of Loch Silverfin in Scotland and lead to a terrifying discovery that threatens to change the world forever.

The series' prestige is obvious from the wide amounts of critical acclaim it has received over the years:
