Alfie is fed up of making new friends in every place he and his family move to, because he always feels so sad when he has to leave them behind. He decides he'll keep to himself at his new school. However, his classmate, Noah, seems determined to get to know Alfie, and soon he's visiting him at the campsite. But Noah isn't used to campsites, and he unwittingly causes trouble when they lose their way and it starts to get dark....
