This takes the form of Tom's battered homework diary - crammed with
his doodles and stories.

"Back to school, but it's not all bad. We're entering Rooster in
a dog show, the School Disco and my birthday are coming up so this
term's going to be amazing! Mostly because Delia's not invited
to any of these. There's only one small problem with my birthday,
Granny Mavis says she's going to cook . . . uh oh!"

This was an amazing book. It includes lots of detail and the illustrations were unbelievable (In a good way.)
There is a school disco. Tom definitely doesn't want his dad to be the dj. But when his dad buys a dinosaur disco costume Tom isn't so sure.
Also, Tom's birthday is coming up. Tom hopes he gets good presents. But Tom thinks that where he's going for his birthday party is a little bit babyish.

My favourite character is Tom because he is funny and he does great doodles!

There is a bird watching trick that his cousins do, its cool!

This Tom Gates book was much longer than any other I have read, still really funny with great illustrations.
