A lovely book with fun rhyming and adorable illustrations. It really does help a child understand why school is important in a playful manner. My 5 y.o enjoyed reading it so much at the local library that she asked to buy it our school book fair.
I would definitely recommend it especially in the run up to starting school or a new class.

We love Whiffy Wilson and all Caryl Hart books (This is brilliantly illustrated by Leonie Lord) but it’s particularly perfect for starting school time. Whiffy really doesn’t want to go to school, but when he got there....he totally loved it!!! This is a great starting school book as it has such a positive outcome ..it focuses on the fun side of school rather than the practical (here is the loo, here is your peg type books, which are obviously very useful too of course) side.  Check out Whiffy and his friend Dotty in his other stories.

This is a lovely story to share with young children who are about to start school. We loved the rhyme within the story and the fact that Whiffy Wilson's school is so much like the one my daughter will be attending. It has an ending that made me chuckle as well!

Perfect for any reluctant school goers. Whiff hates the idea of school but after being dragged to school by a friend he realises just how fun it can be.
Charming illustrations and rhyming verse makes this a very enjoyable read. I'll be sure to check out other titles in the range.

Whiffy Wilson really does not want to go to school even though he doesn't know how to count to ten or how to hold a pen. His friend Dotty persuades him to give it a try and Whiffy soon realises how much fun school is.

A great book for any child who is feeling apprehensive about starting school. Lovely rhyming text and cheerful illustrations.

Whiffy Wilson is very reluctant about going to school. I'm sure there will be many kids feeling like this and the story shows how whiffy wilson goes on to really enjoy school. The illustrations are lovely and we really enjoyed this story.
