Annie Stewart is a Cheltenham-based author of a trilogy of books about the antics of a mischievous border terrier called Wilf. Her engaging new children's book Pickle Plays the Fiddle continues the adventures of Pickle the black and white cat (based on her own) and his canine companion Lily, an energetic Welsh Terrier puppy.
In these new stories, Lily is growing up and finding her paws a bit and Pickle is getting used to sharing his household with a dog! Meet a host of new characters and some old favourites as Pickle & Lily get involved with an eccentric artist, a village fete and did we mention a pantomime, oh yes we did! The stories are full of humour for children and adults alike and have some good messages for young readers. They have an old-fashioned heart-warming feel to them and will appeal to animal lovers of all ages making them a popular choice for bedtime reading.
