Join Maisy the mouse and her friends for their first experience of camping!

It's a beautiful day and Maisy's going camping in the countryside. But it's not easy pitching a tent, as Maisy and her friends soon find out. And even if they can get the tent ready before nightfall, will there be enough room in it for Maisy, Charley, Tallulah, Cyril and Eddie?

This is a fantastic story in the Maisy series.

Maisy and her friends go camping; they start by finding camp and pitching the tent. Then the real fun begins...fitting everyone in the tent!

We love the Maisy books: the illustrations are always brilliant - they are very bold and vibrant, perfect for sparking the attention of toddlers. They complement the simple story marvellously and are ideal for helping make associations with words.

The text is simple and the story is straight-forward and doesn't take very long to read, if you stick to the written script. We usually end up following the story by discussing the pictures and picking out bits from the text - which can take a longer or shorter time depending on the day and how long we talk.

It's a lovely story for introducing and exploring camping-specific vocabulary or even to share together prior to a first camping trip to help acclimatise a child to the experience.

This is an all-round treasure of a book; I highly recommend it.

We love this book, looking for somewhere to pitch the tent and then trying to fit Maisy and all her friends in, including the elephant! a fun book in typical Maisy style. great for reading to pre-schoolers.
