This book is a follow on from the original "Guess How Much I Love You"; Big nutbrown hare and Little nutbrown hare return in 4 new stories; one for each season.

This story is about spring: Little Nut-brown Hare is learning how things grow and change - such as tadpoles. He starts to wonder what he will grow in to. It's a lovely to story to read as a jumping off point for other explorations into growth or changes.

The illustrations are just as beautiful and enchanting as the original. My little girl enjoys them immensely and spends a lot of time examining them. The books are fairly small so she can comfortably manage to handle the book herself too.

It's a sweet and gentle story; perfect for any time of day. My toddlers can sometimes struggle to stay focussed until the end of the story so I do end up skipping bits or paraphrasing when this happens to help them stay attentive!

Although I've heard of the 'Guess How Much I Love you' books, this was the first I'd read.  A nice gentle story showing how animals change shape from babies to adults.  Nice for learning about animals - not sure where the 'Guess How Much I Love You' fits into this one though!
