Rafe Khatchadorian is getting the Hollywood treatment in a film version of Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life starring Griffin Gluck, Lauren Graham, Rob Riggle and Thomas Barbusca.

Rafe isn't exactly considered a winner in Hills Village Middle School to say the least, but everything's about to change: he's won a school-wide art competition, and the fabulous prize is getting to jet-set off to Australia for a whirlwind adventure!

But Rafe soon finds that living in the Land Down Under is harder than he could've ever imagined; his host-siblings are anything but welcoming, the burning temperatures are torturous, and poisonous critters are ready to sting or eat him at every step. So with the help of some new misfit friends, Rafe sets out to show everyone what he does best: create utter mayhem!

This was s funny book - it made me laugh out loud. It was an exciting story about a boy who won a trip to Australia where he had an adventure and met lots of people.

I would recommend this book for children aged 9-12.

I liked this book because it was full of adventures.  Rafe goes on holiday to Australia and he meets these mean surfer people.  They are bullying the outsiders.  Rafe helps the outsiders by making a massive creature and scaring the guests at the surfer's party.  It was another brilliant middle school adventure and I would like to read more.

This book is very funny like the last book I reviewed 'Just Plain Weird'.

It is about a boy called Rafe Khatchadorian who lives in America but goes on holiday to Australia, he meets a boy called Bradley and a girl called Belinda and he's sick on Belinda!

After a few chapters he meets a group of children who make horror movies called 'The Outsiders'.  They decide to make a movie about a zombie bunyip from Mars.

What I don't like is that the words are mostly Australian and American so sometimes I get a bit mixed up with their meanings.

I liked the book because it's a bit like Tom Gates (funny) and a bit like Bear Grylls as it's set in Australia!  I enjoyed the story because it was exciting to read and my kind of book.

I've read all the other books and have to say this one is my least favourite. In this one rafe wins and art competition and wins a trip to Australia but down under isn't all its cracked up to be. It is a good read and I'm glad iv read it but i dont think its as funny as some of the other one

Really enjoyed this book. I have read the other series and watched the movie. In this book Rafe wins an art contest and gets to go Australia. The host family are not very nice at all. Great book but i do prefer the series Get me out of here.

A good book by author James Patterson. Rafe wins an art competition, and wins an all-expenses-paid trip 'Down Under!' However, Australia isn't as cracked up as it seems, with drop bears, evil geologists and killer frogs.
In my opinion, i much prefer Rafe's other Middle School adventures. This book didn't seem to be as funny as the others, or have as much of a story compare to the other. Its my least favourite James Patterson book. However, that isn't saying much, as all of James Patterson's books are pretty epic!
