An amusing how-to guide on how to catch Santa. We’ve started slightly early this year: this book caught our eye in the bookshop yesterday and we read it yesterday. It goes through the hows of catching Santa and suggests why it might be a good idea with various questions you could ask him. It teases that it might not actually happen to keep children from taking it as gospel!
It’s a funny, light-hearted read with beautiful, colourful illustrations on every page. It’s very inventive and it kept us all busy discussing some different ways we could capture him. It stimulated their creativity no end and left us all giggling.
We’ll definitely be returning to this throughout December and I’m looking forward to seeing what else they come up with. There’s also some suggestions on what presents to give Santa which has given us some ideas (and reasons) to occupy them with some crafting.
The prose is simple and easy to follow. It’s a funny and engaging book we thoroughly enjoyed.
