"Tiger days and the secret cat" was a compelling yet stylishly written book. As a school girl, I noted the carefully used punctuation and sentence structures that kept the words and the plot moving flawlessly.
The book had it's downsides as well and also that there were not many cliffhangers to keep me put. Other than that all was fine.
I think the characters were portrayed realistically, especially Tom and his wild imagination. There was nothing wrong with Tiger.infact she was very intriguing!
I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

An adorable easy to read book for all adventurous bookworms out there. A real page turner. My girls sat with smiles on there faces all the way through. I will definitely be purchasing more in this series. Tiger and Tom have the best time together turning animal trainers with Monday the warthog and making friend with the mysterious cat.
Lovely book a definite thumbs up from my 3 girls.

My daughter has chicken pox right now so you can imagine how excited she was when she saw an envelope with this book inside. She started to read it straight away! The book is all about a girl called Tiger Days and her adventures during her stay at her gran, May Day's house during May holiday. The book is written in an attractive way - it's exiting and fun. I love the ideas of kids being animals trainers, sleeping in the tent and using Tin-a-phone. It reminded me my own childhood vacations! It is heartwarming story showing devotion to animals. The language is simple to follow for young readers and black and white illustrations help to stay focused.
My daughter can't wait to read another adventures of Tiger Days that will be published in August!
I highly recommend this book.

Sydney really enjoyed reading this book, she loves animals so this was perfect for her. She really connected with Tiger and the relationship with her Grandmother. I found that the shorter chapters kept her engaged and she was able to easily comprehend the story which made her keep reading!

I liked the short chapters because I could read the book to myself and stop in an easy place. Tiger is a fun character, she made me laugh, and I like tigers like her. She has fun staying at her Grandma's house and looking after a warthog and cat. Tom and Tiger look after the warthog and its fun! The best part was when the warthog sat in her bowl of food! I liked this book.

I really enjoyed reading about Tiger and her adventures staying at Willowgate House with her grandmother. I really like how she began to like the warthog 'Monday' and take care of it even if she wasn't keen when it got there.  She trained it and even though she loved it, she let it go when it was big enough to go back to live with the other warthogs, because it was the right thing to do.

A charming story about a little girl who's worried about change.  She soon settles in when she goes to stay with her Grandma.  Her adventure see's her befriend a boy, a warthog and a cat.  My daughter aged 10 enjoyed this story.  In her own words she said "it just goes to show mum, if you try new things, good things can happen".  We both can't wait to read about Tiger's next adventure.
