5 stars
Having read 'Insects in 30 seconds',we were delighted to discover in the library that there is another book in this series. For fact obsessed nature fans, this is another winning book. As the title claims, there are a number of ocean related topics covered - each has a double page dedicated to it, with a series of facts, a short '3 seconds' fact and beautiful graphic diagrams and pictures explaining the topic. This is a great book to dip in and out of (you don't have to read it all in one go) and a great reference book for school research projects. The text is written in an easy to understand way that is engaging and informative, with lots of interesting facts to stretch the knowledge of children. A brilliant book, and a great book for any child interested in oceans.
