In Best Friends Again, Sarah and her horse Blueball are back again, but a new pony, Tanoli, has replaced Paula's Blackie. Sarah, who hates change, feels saddened, but her life is about to be changed in a dramatic way. An older sister, Miranda, returns from the past to find her mother. There are tensions and difficulties and a strange climax before a final compromise is reached. Best Friends Again is a story which deals with a social problem that is increasingly coming to light, and is sensitively handled by Devine.
