Nothing is sweeter, as everyone knows, than tiny baby fingers and chubby baby toes!

All over the world, babies are different. Yet in some ways they are very much the same: each one has ten little fingers and ten little toes - to play with, to tickle, to wave. And each child is very, very special to its parents...

With Mem Fox's gently rhyming text illustrated by Helen Oxenbury, best loved as the illustrator of the classic nursery join-in picture book We're Going on a Bear Hunt, Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes will fast become the essential book for baby playtime - and the perfect gift for a new arrival!

I loved reading this book to my son so much. It helped him understand about babies as his brother was on the way. The story is lovely and all about differences. This made me well up in places reading it but maybe that's because I was preggers!

Beautiful and sweet little book that is great for babies. This book reminds us that wherever a child is born, whatever family they are part of, whatever their culture they have more in common than they are different and that all children need love. The ending is particularly touching and this book reminds me of those previous first few years.

This book is simply gorgeous! It's a perfect read for when your cuddled up with your child as it's such a calming, sweet story.

This book remind us that all babies are more similar than they are different and uses the anchor point that babies from every corner of the world still have ten little fingers and ten little toes. The ending is especially lovely and will remind you all over of those early weeks and months with your own little one.

It's a great read for babies and toddlers as it's quite short; you can extend the time by spending time talking about what you see in all the pictures. Speaking of the illustrations, they are utterly charming and ooze character and warmth.

The use of repetition is great for young children and it also helps the story feel familiar and comforting - which makes it perfect for a bedtime story (or frankly, an any-time-of-day story!)

We've had this board book since my son was a baby, so it's withstood over 2 and half years - and 2 children's worth - of handling/ abuse and it's still going strong. I like that it's quite small so it's great for little ones to look at independently.

I can't recommend this beautiful book highly enough!

This book is absolutely adorable and was a firm favourite of my 3 year old when he was a baby and is now a treasured story with my 1 year old. A very simple, repetitive rhyming book which is full of sentiment and beautiful illustrations of babies from different walks of life. Highly recommend for babies and toddlers as it is a short book, perfect to read in a calm voice while sitting and snuggling with your little smoosh :)
