TREASURE HUNTER, TOMB ROBBER, TROUBLE MAKER

Jake Atlas and his family are on the run, hunted by international police while chasing the mysterious People of the Snake to stop them from hiding the secret history of humankind. But when the family's friend, Sami, is poisoned, the People of the Snake force the Atlases to work for them in exchange for a cure. Their mission: to locate a legendary lost city and the tomb of the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl in the jungles of Honduras - home to bandits, big cats, tarantulas and crocodiles. But the family's greatest enemy is themselves, as their squabbles threaten to get them into even deeper trouble.

In order to reach the tomb, the family must survive ancient traps, jump out of a crashing plane, escape a jaguar's lair, climb a cliff of skulls, jump over a huge waterfall and escape from a trap of swinging blades!

A brilliant heart-thumping sequel to the increasingly popular Jake Atlas and the Tomb of the Emerald Snake, this is another high-octane adventure, full of laughs and high-tech gadgets, from an award-winning author.

I wish, wish, wish that i had read the first book in the series before reading this one because the book is great (and makes references to its predecessor). It's somewhere between Alex Rider and Indiana Jones, it's a great combination!

I thought the story was great and as a lover of archaeology and gadgets was perfect for me. History, action and mystery.

I'll be looking out for the first one so i can go back and read it.

I loved this book. After reading Jake Atlas and the Tomb of the Emerald Snake I have been desperate to read this book. As a fan of mystery, adventure and archaeology this book was the perfect match. My favourite character is Jake as he is always getting into trouble but always has a amusing way to escape peril. His journey through the jungle shows his personality well and his quick thinking is inspirational.

I really loved this book and having read the 1st book in the series, I understood it very well.
My favourite character is Jake, because he has always got a plan, even if he hasn't thought it out thoroughly! In this story, Jake and his family have to go to the Hondarus Jungle to find a tomb. Earlier that decade, the snake lady was looking for a tablet in the tomb. She chose two people from the Alpha Team to find it for her, only they disappeared or did they?.....

Totally gripping! A real adventure story. "Indiana Jones with tech" according to my son. The story is told by Jake, whose family are treasure hunters. They are in the jungles of Honduras, looking for an artifact they need to save their friend. It is action packed. It's also a lovely story about family relationships and earning respect and trust. We really enjoyed it.

I read the first Jake Atlas book and loved it so I was really looking forward to reading this book and it didn't let me down!

I loved how full of adventure it was and all the high tech gadgets. I really liked that Jake and his family were just a normal family who squabble but who still love each other!

I recommend that everyone who likes cool adventures should read this book!

Fantastic fiction Book with lot of adventures while Jack and Pan tries to become treasure hunters using future technologies and fight against  people of the snake to save ancient history.

The Book is interesting and adventurous as Jake Atlas and his sister Pandora works hard to become treasure hunters to find the ancient stuff with help of their family and Sami. Sami had lots of interesting gadgets based on future technologies which was very exciting to read. My favourite character was Pandora who was a genius while Jake Atlas tries desperately to become a treasure hunter and creates problem sometimes. I liked the suspense and descriptions used in this book while Jake and his family chase and fight mysterious people of snake to save the ancient history.  I enjoyed reading the book and would recommend this book to young children as it shows information about history and future gadgets.

This looks a very good story & thought my granddaughter would enjoy it. However at 7+ its just a bit too advanced for her, it talks about the feeling if having a numb mouth after being at the dentist which she hasn't experienced. Its quite a thick book which is too long to hold her attention yet.
However it looks a good story & I may sneak a read myself & it will definitely sit on her shelf till she is a bit older & im sure she will enjoy it then.
I think older readers or more advanced readers would love this.
