Jo and her family have just moved to a cramped inner city flat. Although she is being beaten up and abused by the bullies in her new school, she has no-one to turn to. Just prior to the move, there was a car accident in which her mother was injured and her little brother Doddy was rendered speechless. Their father, left behind in the old house, seems too far away. Then Doddy buys a mysterious Eye at the Church bazaar; it gives anyone holding it the gift of second sight. Jo now has the power to solve her problems - but does she really want to use the knowledge that she gains?
