We picked up a copy of this book after reading Topsta reviews. We have read other Nick Sharratt books so were hopeful that we would like it and we weren't disappointed. The cover of the book itself is lively and appealing and the story is silly and fun - perfect for toddlers. Timothy Pope looks through his telescope and thinks he can see a shark. The cut outs on the page add to the fun of the book. We have been enjoying it very much and the shark doesn't scare my daughter at all - she wants to see one at the park now!

This is such a fun book. Timothy Pope is at the park and decides to look through his telescope to see what he can find. He looks and sees something rather worrying but things are not always as they seem. We really enjoyed reading this book and found the story and rhyming text great fun. The peek-through sections on each double page are a brilliant idea. We are already fans of Nick Sharatt's work so knew the illustrations would be colourful and amazing. We would definitely recommend this book.

I use this book a lot at work and wow it is popular with nursery/ Reception children!! One child asks me to read it every single week. Fab repetition and lots going on in the pictures to promote language development. A colourful, engaging story with a little bit of humour too!

Fantastic book that gets the children interacting and guessing along the way. The layout of the book is great. The story is repetitive and after a few reads the children practically recite it by themselves. Great illustrations from Nick.
